Snow White Must Die

Beta Film has acquired worldwide distribution rights to its first Korean drama with a deal for thriller series Snow White Must Die.

The 16 x 60-minute show is produced by Hidden Sequence for MBC and is based on Nele Neuhaus’ bestselling German novel.

The story centers on a young man who served ten years in prison for a murder he doesn’t remember committing. Now, he’s determined to clear his name.

The cast features Byun Yo Han (Six Flying Dragons), Ko Jun (The Fiery Priest), Go Bo-gyeol (Hi Bye, Mama!), and Kim Bo-ra (Touch). The script is written by Seo Joo-yeon (Save Me 2) and directed by Byun Young Joo (Queen Mantis, Helpless).

Beta Film handles international sales and presented the show at Singapore’s ATF market.

Beta Film has been expanding its presence across Asia of late, selling Spanish dramas ranging from the thriller series Shades to The Velvet Collection to South Korea’s LG Uplus.

Crime drama La Unidad and the reverse whodunnit crime series Rapa are also destined for LG Uplus, wihle India’s VR Films bought La Unidad – Kabul, originally produced for Movistar Plus+.
