Christel Miller to work with chief exec Henrik Bastin and Jasmine Russ on development

Bosch producer Fabel Entertainment has hired the former head of scripted at Amazon’s now defunct AVoD streamer Freevee to a newly created senior role.
Christel Miller becomes senior creative executive for special projects and will work closely with chief exec Henrik Bastin and senior vice-president Jasmine Russ to expand the company’s scripted content.

She will forge new partnerships and package projects, with a focus on “high-value” development opportunities.
Miller most recently led the development and launch of Freevee shows including Jury Duty, on which she has continued to work on the second season ahead of its launch on Prime Video.
She was also behind Sprung, Primo, High School, Ballard and Bosch: Legacy, the latter also produced by Fabel for Freevee, which was shuttered last year.
Prior to Freevee, Miller was vice-president of current at NBC, where she oversaw series such as Superstore and Parenthood. She also worked at Showtime Networks.
“We have known Christel for a long time as a fantastic executive and collaborator working on the buyers side,” said Bastin, who launched Fabel in 2021 after exiting Fabrik Entertainment.
The chief exec said Miller “has a great eye for storytelling and a knack for identifying what makes a show special”, adding that she would start working on season two of Prime Video’s Ballard and Bosch: Start of Watch for MGM+ in the new year.
Russ described Miller as “a builder of hit series, a champion of great ideas, and a trusted creative guide. Her experience and genuine love of the craft makes her an inspiring partner – and exactly who we want in our corner making the television we love.”
Miller added: “This is a team that truly values creative collaboration and takes big swings. I’m honored to help shape the next phase of Fabel’s growth and continue building series that resonate around the world.”
