Paul Heaney-led company to create two new positions to target new territories and platforms
UK-based distributor BossaNova Media is rejigging its sales team with Holly Cowdery exiting and two new roles being created.
Cowdery joined the Night Train Media outfit in 2022 and has been head of sales overseeing the US, Canada, LatAm, UK, France, and Italy.

She will depart this month having worked on projects such as Secret of the Lost Grail, Ancient Autopsy, Gold Wars Downunder, and Days that Shocked the World.
”As Holly embarks on new ventures, we extend our best wishes to her,” the company said, with founder and chief exec Paul Heaney describing Cowdery as “a vital member of the team and her achievements have been central to our success.”
Two sales manager roles are being created to expand geographical and platform reach, both reporting into head of sales Tatiana Grinkevich.
Heaney continues to lead UK, US and Australia sales with support from a newly created sales assistant post, also soon to be announced. The remaining territories will be reallocated between the rest of the team in due course.
Heaney said: “The decision now to switch to a more traditional sales structure is a natural evolution given BossaNova’s maturing over the past five years, the size of the catalogue we’re now seeking to maximise and the fragmenting of platforms and channels to sell to.
“With an increased headcount, we want to leave as little potential revenue ‘on the table’ as possible. This is the plan to achieve that.”
The reorg comes amid a raft of sales for BossaNova, including National Geographic in the US acquiring Ancient Autopsy (4 x 60 minutes), produced by Yeti Television for Channel 4.
UKTV, SevenOne Germany, RTL Netherlands and Play Belgium Plus have picked up the seventh series of Stampede Production’s returning strand, Borderforce USA, while Talpa Netherlands and DPG Belgium have acquired the second season of Airport Security: USA, also from Stampede.
