Hungarian outfit to represent six ITVS formats across central and eastern Europe
ITV Studios has unveiled a strategic partnership with central and eastern Europe indie Paprika Studios to represent six key titles in the region.
Paprika Studios will exclusively represent non-scripted formats Game of Chefs, Rat In The Kitchen, Let Love Rule, My Mum Your Dad, A Year to Remember and What Would Your Kid Do across seven key markets: Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Hungary, Lithuania, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia.
Spanning from cooking to reality and entertainment, the collaboration aims to build closer creative and commercial partnerships in CEE, with ITVS’ executive vice-president for EMEA global partnerships Gisela Minnbergh saying the partnership “enables us to offer broadcasters a powerful combination of creative content and streamlined production, perfectly suited to local audiences”.
Where formats are already established, the existing production partners will continue their local adaptations. The deal was announced at Natpe Budapest today (23 June).
Chief executive of Paprika Studios Ákos Erdös said the format titles are “compelling, high-quality titles that we believe will resonate with local viewers”.
He added: “With more than 15 years’ experience, offices in eight countries and a deep understanding of audience expectations and market trends in the CEE region, we are a reliable and competent partner.”
The deal was brokered by Martijn Plaizier, content brand partnership manager at ITVS.
