ITV Studios is headlining its Mipcom format slate with shows from countries ranging from the UK, New Zealand and Sweden.

The UK-based outfit has 10 new titles on its slate for the October event, including Bright Entertainment’s The Chase Around the World, a city-hopping treasure hunt spin-off from the long-running gameshow, The Chase.

The new variant sees six pairs attempt to track down all six of The Chasers in undisclosed locations across Europe. Unravelling puzzles along the way, the winning pair will pit their knowledge against The Chasers in order to win a life-changing prize pot.

Swedish show Expedition Into The Wild is also being taken to Cannes, with local broadcaster Kanal 5 recently ordering a second season from ITVS Sweden.

The format sees eight celebrity city dwellers with almost no survival skills attempting to last for 18 days after being dropped into a remote natural environment.

New Zealand-based Perpetual Entertainment is behind another new launch for ITVS, Celebrity Escape. Produced for Kiwi broadcaster Three, the show sees seven highly competitive comedians taking on an escape room, which is controlled by another comedian.

Other formats on the slate include: South Shore’s creative food-entertainment series Next on the Menu; social experiment show Apocalypse; Plimsoll Studios’ Secret Garden; Multistory’s reality format How to Clean Up for Cash; Bright Entertainment’s Name That Tune; ITVS Denmark’s The Ultimate Summer Star; and Bandicoot’s The Joy of Pets.

Mike Beale, MD of Global Creative Network at ITV Studios, said the shows provide “different price points to help deliver programming to all buyers for all available slots.”

He added: “With many of these formats returning for second seasons or airing across multiple territories, we are pleased to deliver a lineup with a track record of success.”
