Paper format greenlit by Record News and features entrepreneurs pitching to business giants
Brazil’s Record TV has greenlit the first production of Elevator Pitch, the Keshet International (KI) business format that features an AI-powered investor.
The 10 x 60-minute series follows high-profile investors – known as the ‘titans’ – as they evaluate protégés from Brazil’s favelas and test out real business ideas in a high-stakes ‘elevator pitch’ setting.

The show, which will debut on Record TV’s Record News, will be known locally as Elevator Pitch Brasil and is based on a Keshet Broadcasting-created paper format that was first developed in 2015.
It features an AI investor called Caio Maia, which analyses pitches in real time and then interacts with the real-life ‘titans’ by offering insights on strengths, weaknesses and growth potential of the entrepreneurs.
Across the series, ideas are tested as protégés face a series of escalating challenges before they sell their products to the public, with the most successful entrepreneur winning the competition.
Sao Paulo-based production company The Plan is producing in association with KI and Bellino’s Unlimited, a production label launched by local businessman Ricardo Bellino, who is also one of the show’s ‘titans’.
Marcelo Trindade (Cake Boss with Buddy Val) and Paulo Franco exec produce, with showrunner Diego Pignataro (Agora É Tarde) also directing. The series debuts in primetime on Record News this summer.
Kelly Wright, Keshet International’s managing director of distribution, said: “Developing Elevator Pitch with Ricardo has been an adventure. Together, we’ve harnessed the power of AI and unlocked the process of dealmaking and entrepreneurship in an entertaining way for major broadcasters like Record News.”
The format will be introduced to buyers at London TV Screenings next week, with KI holding its event on 24 February.
