Hollywood Arts will make its bow on Netflix in 2026, followed by releases on Nickelodeon and Paramount+. Dates have not yet been confirmed.

The 26-part series is from Paramount Television Studios and production begins this month in Vancouver, Canada.

The story follows a struggling actress – played by Victorious’ Daniella Monet – who returns to her former high school, Hollywood Arts, as an unqualified substitute teacher and finds herself unexpectedly inspiring her students.

Jake Farrow and Samantha Martin are showrunners and writers, with the duo also exec producing alongside director Jonathan Judge.

Cast includes Alyssa Miles, Emmy Liu-Wang, Peyton Jackson, Erika Swayze and Martin Kamm, with Yvette Nicole Brown (Community) guest starring.

The order follows a succesful run for Victorious on Netflix in the US, where the streamer said it had accumulated more than 45m views since the start of 2024.

The spin-off also underlines the increasingly flexible windowing and financing models that streamers are adopting as they look to find cost-efficient programming.
