The eight-parter was acquired by the global streamer following a bidding war and has Harrison Query (Heads of State) attached as writer and showrunner.

The story follows Edgerton’s former Special Forces operator and his team, who now sell their services on the black market.

The series will be directed by executive producer Jeremy Saulnier (Rebel Ridge) and also has Joe Hipps (Ozark) and Patrick Macdonald exec producing for US-based label Cut To.

Trigger Point first emerged at script stage this summer before landing at A24, which further developed the show.

The story follows the group of highly skilled operatives as they work with individuals in the criminal underworld.

However, despite working behind the front of a private military contracting firm, the FBI are tracking the group in a bid to shut down their operation.

Edgerton recently starred in Netflix film Train Dreams, while the show marks the latest greenlight for A24’s expanding TV slate, which already includes Superfakes for Peacock, Paramount+’s Discretion, and Apple TV’s Margo’s Got Money Troubles.

A24 is also behind Netflix hit Beef, which is returning for a second run.
