Streamer’s vice president had overseen growing slate but will now focus on producing for the company
Netflix’s Jeff Gaspin is stepping down as vice president of unscripted after two years in the role.
He joined the global streamer in February 2024 having launched Gaspin Media to run Netflix productions including The Tinder Swindler with Raw TV and Rhythm & Flow.

Gaspin is exiting 1 July and will take up a producing role, having reported into fellow NBC Universal alum Brandon Riegg, vice president of non-fiction at Netflix.
The exec has been a key figure in Netflix’s unscripted push over recent years, with shows such as Velvet Hammers’ Age of Attraction, Skyscraper Live and fellow live show Star Struck, although the latter failed to land.
His exit comes ahead of the launch of bigger swings such as the upcoming Monopoly show and Willy Wonka-themed The Golden Ticket, which emerged following Netflix’s acquisition of The Roald Dahl Story Company in 2021.
Gaspin will continue to produce for the streamer, overseeing Age of Attraction and the upcoming US remake of South Korean format Physical 100. His role will not be filled, according to US trade Deadline which broke the news.
Prior to Netflix, Gaspin spent more than a decade with NBC Universal, looking after unscripted at Bravo, and becoming chairman of NBC Universal Television Entertainment between 2009 and 2011.
