Appointment comes six months after US private equity company merged FilmRise and Shout!Studios
Former Paramount Streaming exec Jeff Shultz has re-emerged at FilmRise and Shout!Studios parent Radial Entertainment.

Shultz was most recently chief strategy office and business development officer at Paramount where he worked across Paramount+ and Pluto TV prior to his exit last year.
He will now become chief exec at Radial, replacing Shout! Studios co-founder Garson Foos who becomes exec chairman at Radial with FilmRise co-founder Danny Fisher.
Radial was formed this summer when LA-based private equity firm Oaktree Capital Management acquired streaming outfit FilmRise and merged it with film and TV distributor Shout! Studios to create the new venture.
The combined company describes itself as a “global content distribution platform” with a library of 70,000 movies and TV episodes. Oaktree bought into Shout! back in 2023.
Shultz was initially chief business officer at FAST operator Pluto TV prior to its acquisition by Viacom (now part of Paramount) in 2019.

His role then shifted to give him oversight of the US studio’s global direct-to-consumer strategy and partnership portfolio during the launch of Paramount+.
Jared Frandle, managing director for Oaktree’s special situations strategy, said: “We are extremely grateful for all of Garson’s efforts in guiding us through the seamless transition of this exciting merger.
“We are now thrilled to welcome Jeff—a highly seasoned veteran of the streaming industry and a uniquely qualified media executive—to lead Radial into this next chapter.”
Shultz said he was focused on building Radial “into one of the most valuable independent players in the global streaming market.”
He added that the company is “uniquely positioned to capture the massive opportunity in the rapidly evolving media market, leveraging its financial scale, vast and compelling catalog, and expansive and diversified distribution, all amplified by Oaktree’s support.”
