Adventure reality format has run for three seasons in the UK as well as two in Italy, Norway and Mexico
Mediaset España has become the latest buyer of Cineflix Rights’ adventure reality format Tempting Fortune.
The show, based on Voltage TV’s original series, is getting a Spanish reboot via Mediaset Spain in collaboration with Warner Bros. International Television Production Spain.
Tempting Fortune tracks 12 strangers as they take on an arduous trek through wilderness with only the bear essentials while being given the option of buying luxuries - but at the cost of a €300,000 prize pot.
The show has run for three seasons on the UK’s Channel 4, having debuted in 2023.
It has also been remade in Italy (Sky Italia), Norway (NRK) and Mexico (TV Azteca), with two seasons each airing. Options are out in more than a dozen other territories.
