Black-ish star strikes Fox deal
Fox Entertainment Studios (FES) has struck a first-look pact with actress, producer and director Tracee Ellis Ross.
The multiyear first-look scripted and overall unscripted deal covers output from Ross and her production company Joy Mill Entertainment.
The Black-ish star will serve as executive producer and creative originator on a cross-genre scripted slate spanning comedy, drama and animation, as well as unscripted and reality television programming formats.
In related news, Adriana Ambriz is returning to Joy Mill to continue her role as head of development, a position she has held since 2020.
UK’s Goalhanger buys Premier League rights
UK podcast The Rest Is Football has launched Premier League Greats: The Moments That Made Them, a series showcasing Premier League archive footage.
The Goalhanger podcast has acquired rights to the competition’s video archive and can now show action from every game since its launch in 1992 until the end of last season in May 2025.
Premier League Greats will release every Wednesday until the end of the current campaign. Each episode will feature five matches that defined a Premier League legend’s career, with hosts Gary Lineker, Alan Shearer and Micah Richards breaking down why each fixture was so important.
For the first time, viewers watching on Spotify Video or YouTube, and across The Rest Is Football social channels, will be able to see the match footage as those moments are discussed on screen. Read more
Fox Sports president to exit
Fox Sports president and chief operating officer, Mark Silverman, is stepping down from the US network.
Silverman was president of Fox-backed sports network Big Ten Network (BTN) prior to joining Fox Sports in 2018, but will now shift to a consulting role. His successor will be named shortly.
