Blue Ant overhauls kids and family
Canada’s Blue Ant Media has overhauled its children’s and family divisions by bringing its studios and leadership under Jennifer Twiner McCarron.
She become president of kids, family & YA, with the combined unit sitting within Blue Ant Studios under co-president Matt Hornburg, who oversees global content development and production.
The business now operates under three verticals: content development & commercial strategy, led by Diane Rankin; scripted & live action, led by Lindsay Macadam; and animation, led by Joel Bradley.
These teams will work in close collaboration with Blue Ant Rights, including Richard Goldsmith, who leads Blue Ant’s new consumer products division. Lori McIndoe, president of Jam Filled Entertainment, is departing.
Classic Neighbours comes to UKTV
UKTV has struck a deal with Fremantle that will see the broadcaster air the earliest episodes of Australian soap Neighbours.
The package comprises 420 episodes of the half-hour soap, covering its first two year, which originally aired in 1985 and followed the inhabitants of fictional Australian suburban cul-de-sac Ramsay Street.
The soap ran on Network 10 and its digital channel Peach until it was cancelled in 2022. It was briefly revived by Prime Video in 2023, before the streamer axed it in 2025.
Neighbours will air on U&Drama and the first 115 episodes will be available to stream on U from July, with five episodes added every week. Read more
RTS London lines up Priya Dogra & Kelly Day
Channel 4 and ITV chief executives Priya Dogra and Carolyn McCall and president of 5 Reemah Sakaan are among the first speakers revealed for the RTS London Convention 2026.
The biennial event taking place on Tuesday 29 September at Kings Place in London, is supported by Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios, with head of Northern European originals Tara Erer to chair. Also speaking is Prime Video’s vice-president of international Kelly Day.
This year’s theme will be United in Change: If Not Now, When?, focusing on the need for collaboration and action to shape the future rather than wait for it to happen. Read more
