Live coverage on Sky Sports has started already with a selection of pre-season games
Sky Sports is to show regular NBA basketball league games under a new rights deal with the NBA that runs through to 2036.
Starting this season on Sky Sports, fans will be able to regularly watch UK talent such as Jeremy Sochan and OG Anunoby compete for the NBA Championship, alongside the world’s top basketball players.
Last year, NBCUniversal (Sky’s sister company, which is also owned by Comcast) acquired NBA rights of over 100 live games per season on a long-term basis. As well as airing these games in North America, they will now be broadcast in Sky’s European markets including the UK & Ireland.
Sky is also in advanced talks with the NBA regarding additional live broadcasting rights.
On top of this, coverage of the WNBA will start on Sky Sports from the 2026/27 season.
Live coverage on Sky Sports is already underway with Philadelphia 76ers v New York Knicks on Sky Sports Mix, with several more pre-season games to come as well as the NBA Tip-Off double-header on 21 October.
Basketball fans in the UK can also watch a selection of NBA games on Prime Video, which recently secured the rights to show 67+ NBA games per season.
