TNT Sports has revealed its coverage plans for the month-long rugby tournament, The Quilter Nations Series, which kicks off on 1 November as England host Australia at the Allianz Stadium, Twickenham.

All 21 matches in the competition will air live across TNT Sports and its streaming home, discovery+. It will merge cutting-edge technology, innovative storytelling, and enhanced fan engagement across all platforms, says TNT Sports.

Inspired by TNT Sports’ Gallagher PREM Rugby broadcasts, live in-play pitch-side analysis will make its debut for international rugby broadcasts, offering instant tactical insights as the action happens directly from the touchline.

POV drones will be used to capture the energy of the crowds, and Spidercam and AR graphics implemented across Steadycam for the first time will “bring a new visual dimension to live coverage”.

TNT Sports will also be using a Refcam across more matches, and on-pitch pundit demonstrations will also be a more regular feature.

Scott Young, EVP WBD Sports Europe said: “Our ambition is to redefine rugby coverage by constantly pushing boundaries to super-serve the viewer experience. We pride ourselves on our storytelling capabilities and delivering coverage through the lens of the fan.

“Not just during live match action, but through an unrivalled line-up of on-screen experts and a market-leading digital offer across web, app and social. This combination brings fans closer to the game, the players, and the passion that defines international rugby at its most elite level.

“Last year TNT Sports delivered record-breaking viewership in its debut series, driving our best-ever rugby audiences across all competitions and we have every belief we can build on that success in 2025.

“We are in a unique position by being the season-long storytellers of the domestic game. It allows us to build a narrative and drive excitement as we head onto the international stage. We can use these engaged audiences to drive new fans to the Gallagher PREM to help support growth at a domestic level. We are delighted to see a double-digit year-on-year audience increase already this season.”

Complementing the live broadcasts, TNT Sports will launch studio show, The Quilter Nations Series Show, hosted by Craig Doyle, which will air every Thursday night throughout the series.

It will feature many of the regular faces seen across TNT Sports’ rugby coverage, alongside special guests. The show will feature in-depth analysis and expert insight, tackling all the key talking points and developing stories from the previous weekend’s matches, while also looking ahead to the next round of fixtures.

TNT Sports will also share content, stories and match-day moments across web, app and social, driven through exclusive behind-the-scenes access.

For the game coverage, discovery+ will provide interactive Timeline Markers, enabling fans to seamlessly transition between key match moments to re-live the action again.
