The Deltatre-powered platform sold World Cup passes in 112 countries and recorded its highest event pass sales since its relaunch last year

The International Hockey Federation (FIH) says its global streaming platform Watch.Hockey generated more than one million views during The FIH Hockey World Cup Belgium & Netherlands 2026 (15-30 August).
During the tournament, Watch.Hockey generated more than one million views and over 20 million minutes watched, with an average viewing time of around 20 minutes per view.
Watch.Hockey brings together live hockey action and extended highlights. Fans can subscribe through either a season pass or an event pass.
It is available on mobile, web and streaming devices, and over the past year, it has also hosted a growing range of competitions from FIH Continental Federations, extending its international offer and further establishing the platform as a destination for hockey fans around the world.
The World Cup Pass was sold in 112 countries, resulting in the highest number of event pass sales since the streaming service was relaunched last year.
The geographical spread of the audience saw Great Britain, the USA, the Netherlands, Belgium, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand and Germany among the countries recording the highest levels of viewing, with four continents represented among the six leading markets.
The results underline both the global reach of the tournament and the growing appetite for digital access to the world’s best hockey.
The platform is operated in collaboration with Deltatre. Peter Bellamy, CRO, Deltatre, said: “We’re really proud of our partnership with FIH, bringing together our streaming technology and strategy and growth services offering to deliver real commercial value. It’s great to see this translating into more fans reached around the world, greater choice and flexibility in how they watch, and continued growth year on year.”
