Rogan Productions preps fast-turnaround single, Boris Johnson: Has He Run Out of Road?

Andrew Neil and David Frost

Former BBC political heavyweight Andreil Neil is to examine the recent controversies surrounding Boris Johnson for a Channel 4 documentary.

Rogan Production’s hour-long Boris Johnson: Has He Run Out of Road? follows Neil as he explores the prime minister’s battle to stay in power in the face of numerous scandals. It will cover the Owen Patterson debacle, the funding behind No 10’s flat refurbishment and the numerous parties held in Downing St during the national lockdowns, and ask if these controversies are of Johnson’s own making.

Former GB News co-founder Neil, who chairs right-wing magazine The Spectator, will speak with key Conservative Party players, including Lord David Frost, Red Wall MP Lee Anderson and David Davis – who last week called for Johnson to resign during PMs Questions.

“It’s the biggest leadership in crisis in three decades and we have a ringside seat,” stated Neil.

Rogan Productions is also responsible for political docs Farage: The Man Who Made Brexit Happen and Putin: A Russian Spy Story. Boris Johnson: Has He Run Out of Road? will TX on Sunday 30 January at 7pm.

The programme was commissioned by C4’s head of news, current affairs, specialist factual and sport, Louisa Compton. It is directed by Simon Gilchrest, produced by Claire Kavanagh and executive produced by James Rogan.

“This timely film underlies the channel’s commitment to producing distinctive, thought-provoking and outstanding journalism,” said Compton.

Gilchrest added: “It’s not often one gets access to the key players within a political party as it tries to decide whether or not to depose the prime minister.”
