Emma Lloyd is among the shortlist of names vying to lead PSB
Netflix exec Emma Lloyd is among the shortlist of candidates to lead Channel 4, according to a report.
The SVoD’s vice-president, partnerships EMEA is tipped as a “serious contender” to succeed Alex Mahon as chief executive officer, Sky News reported.
She has been at Netflix since 2021, revealed by Broadcast, having spent 13 years at Sky in a series of senior business roles, latterly as the pay-TV giant’s group chief business development officer. She has also worked in telecommunications, with roles at BT and as a consultant with PwC.

Lloyd is among a small list of names in the running for the role, which includes interim C4 chief exec and chief operating officer Jonathan Allan.
Other names vying for the role remain unclear; last month Broadcast revealed that Banijay’s Patrick Holland, All3Media’s Jane Turton and ITV Studios’ Julian Bellamy were not in contention for the job.
Mahon announced her resignation as chief exec in May, and the search for her successor began in earnest once Geoff Cooper was installed as C4 chair in September.
The successful candidate is expected to be named this side of Christmas.
C4 declined to comment, stating the recruitment process is ongoing.
Broadcast has contacted Netflix for comment.
