Channel 5 has recommssioned Gibraltar: Britain in the Sun, Brain Hospital: Saving Lives, and Classic Car Rescue, and will air the shows next year.

It will be the second series for all three shows.

Gibraltar: Britain in the Sun, which will return with a 6 x 60-minutes series, will see a new group of characters join the cast from the first series. The programme is produced by Shiver for ITV Studios and commissioned by Emma Westcott, commissioning editor of documentaries and popular factual at Channel 5.

The 4 x 60-minutes Brain Hospital: Saving Lives returns to follows some of the Walton Centre’s most impressive, ground-breaking surgical stories as each episode follows two or three patients, each suffering from a different neurological condition. The programme is produced by Rare Day and was commissioned by Simon Raikes, commissioning editor of factual at Channel 5.

Classic Car Rescue is back, with car fanatics Bernie Fineman and Mario Pacione searching the UK, Canada and the US to find cars to restore. Classic Car Rescue, 8 x 60 minutes, is produced by Blink Films and commissioned by Jason Wells, commisioning executive of factual and features at Channel 5.
