Living has ordered a second run of the series where singletons literally go on blind dates - Dating In The Dark.

The 8 x 60-minute series will again pull together men and women looking for love who meet potential partners in a pitch black room filmed by infra-red cameras. Endemol subsidiary Initial will produce the series, which is being lined up for broadcast this summer.

The first series debuted last September, reaching 47% of pay TV adults aged from 16-34 years old. It recently picked up the RTS Programme Award for best multichannel programme 2009.

Executive producer is David Staite.

Mark Sammon, head of commissioning for VMtv, said: “Dating in the Dark has surpassed expectations and continues to engage with viewers with its bold creativity.”
