Around 500,000 digital radios are expected to be in homes by the end of 2003 after retailers reported strong demand over the Christmas period with around 75,000 sets being sold. The Digital Radio Development Bureau (DRDB) this week claimed sales of the sets increased by 165 per cent in 2002 and look set to more than double again this year.
