Digital media and post facility Dubbs-Eyeframe has purchased a Snell Archangel Ph.C HD realtime video restoration system, the first to be bought in the UK.

Whilst in beta testing the Archangel was used in the production of the new Blu-ray HD edition of World War II documentary series, The World at War, for Fremantle Media.

Simon Marbrook, head of restoration at Dubbs-Eyeframe, said: “The material for The World At War demanded the extensive restoration of a huge amount of material within a tight timeframe, and at the highest quality to meet Blu-ray standards.”

Archangel Ph.C-HD is an SD and HD restoration system with real-time dirt, dust, grain, noise, scratch, instability and flicker removal.
