The facility is expecting to plough an estimated£200,000 into the subsidiary over the next 12 months, which is based at its Berners Street site. It is due to launch early next year with its own name and brand identity, but will not operate independently of its parent company.

Producer Bryony Evans will head the division while Evolution designers Mark McKenna and Matt Gee will also join the department. The facility has poached one new designer to join its team - Richard White of Red Bee (formerly BBC Broadcast).

The department has three After Effects machines and three 3D Lightwaves and Evans said there are ambitious plans to build up the team. But, there are no plans to build any more suites yet. "We want to work on the Evolutions brand and attract clients interested in design," said Evans.

The as-yet-unnamed division is currently working with Discovery clients and did promo work for the September launch of Discovery Italy. Other recent work includes the titles for Endemol's Deal or No Deal for Channel 4.
