Glasgow-based indie Hello Halo has appointed Mentorn development executive Natalie Hill as head of development.
Hill, who will also executive produce for the indie, will oversee the development of formats, reporting to founder Wendy Rattray. She replaces Kathy Myers who left to join Spring Films in July.
Former STV creative director Rattray established the Greenbird-backed indie in August 2014.
Hill has held senior level roles at a number of indies including Lion Television, Maverick, Betty and Talkback Thames. Most recently she was a development executive at Mentorn Media for 18 months.
Her credits include four series of The Apprentice for BBC1, Heston’s Fantastical Food, Dispatches, Embarrassing Bodies and 24 Hours in A&E for Channel 4, Great British Menu for BBC2; and Stacey Dooley Investigates… for BBC3.
“[Wendy] puts all her energy and dedication into developing and producing high quality, witty and compelling series and I look forward to doing the same,” said Hill.
Hello Halo specialises in making popular factual programming as well as features and factual entertainment formats, including BBC2 series Into the Wild with Gordon Buchanan and BBC Earth Unplugged’s 10 x 60-minute series Ice Town: Life on the Edge [pictured].
