Hit Entertainment has taken on Disney's former European sales chief Alison Homewood to become its key TV distribution executive.
Hit Entertainment has taken on Disney's former European sales chief Alison Homewood to become its key TV distribution executive.

Homewood, who left Disney distribution arm Buena Vista International Television in May, joins Hit on 30 August as executive vice president, worldwide television distribution, based in London.

Her remit will be to oversee global TV licensing and co-production of existing brands such as Bob the Builder, Thomas & Friends, Pingu, Barneyand Angelina Ballerinaand develop further TV content.

Homewood joined Disney in 2003 following 14 years at BBC Worldwide, Europe's at which she worked her way up to deputy managing director, EMEIA. She left following a reshuffle.

Hit is now owned by private equity firm Apax Partners, which bought it in May for£489m. Former BBC director general Greg Dyke is a non-executive chairman.
