Kudos’ eight-part android series was unable to match the 4.2m (18.9%) who tuned in for the opener in June 2015. The opening run went to grip an average overnight audience of 2.9m (13.3%).
However it eclipsed the channel’s slot average of 1.3m (6%) for the past 12 months.
The C4 drama could not shake the steady performances of BBC1’s Poldark, which pulled in 5.4m (24.2%), and ITV’s Tutankhamun, which was watched by 3.4m (15.1%). Both 10-part series will conclude next week.
On Channel 5, The Peter Kay Story entertained 2m (10%) across the hour.
Later on BBC2, Zeppotron’s 30-minute comedy Nigel Farage Gets His Life Back was watched by 820,000 (5%) from 10pm-10.35pm, below the channel’s slot average of 1m (5.7%).

Friday
The Fall (BBC2) 9pm-10pm
1.9m (9.8%)
The third series of BBC2’s six part drama The Fall averaged 2m (9.7%) across its run. It failed to live up to its series two performance, which averaged 3.3m (12.6%) in November 2014.
The Fall slipped behind ITV’s crime drama The Level which pulled in 2.2m (11.2%) with its fifth episode.
Both shows were beaten by C4’s Gogglebox which won the 9pm slot with 3.1m (16%).
