Fulwell 73’s Howard Cohen joins Lateish Show with Mo Gilligan producer

The Big Narstie Show indie Expectation has appointed Howard Cohen as head of development for its comedy entertainment slate.
Cohen joins the indie from Fullwell 73 where he worked as a senior development producer. Reporting to the company’s creative director of comedy and entertainment Ben Wicks, he will have a remit to help develop more formats and series.
The new role marks an expansion of the department after a recent spate of commissions which, as well as Big Narstie, include three further Channel 4 series: The Lateish Show with Mo Gilligan ( a co pro with Momo G); The Tez O’Clock Show, a three-part series produced with comedian Tez Ilyas’ Pious Productions, and the forthcoming four-parter Rob Rinder Show (w/t).

Cohen’s development experience extends to Lion Television, Disney, Objective Productions and Warner Bros TV.
His credits include BBC3’s Impractical Jokers, Sky 1’s Play Your Pets Right, ITV2’s Viral Tap, The Paul O’ Grady Show on ITV, Sky Arts’ When Bowie Met Bolan and Eddie Izzard: Marathon Man for BBC2.
Wicks said: “I’m absolutely thrilled that we’ve bagged someone as talented as Howard to spearhead our development department. I love his passion, drive and creativity.”
Cohen added: “It’s a great time for comedy-entertainment, and I can’t wait to start sharing our projects with all the broadcasters.”
Cohen assumes the new role at the Tim Hincks and Peter Fincham-founded indie with immediate effect.
