C5 Clapperboard drama secures pre-sales in five countries
Eccho Rights has secured a string of pre-sale deals for Clapperboard’s upcoming Channel 5 drama series Desperate Measures.

The four-part drama, which follows bank clerk and single parent Rowan commit to a dangerous bank heist to pay off debts to save her son, has been picked up by a number of broadcasters around the world including SBS in Australia, TVNZ in New Zealand, Virgin Media Television in Ireland, TV 4 in Sweden and MTV3 in Finland. Fremantle Finland adds Seija-Liisa Eskola as head of scripted

Seija-Liisa Eskola has joined Fremantle Finland as head of scripted with immediate effect and will oversee development and sales of drama series. She moves from Warner Bros ITVP where she held the same role.
She has worked across TV and films in executive producer and development roles, with credits including Soundtrack of Love (Yle/Finnish Broadcasting Company), Welcome to Texas (MTV), Happy Hour of the Wolf (Yle) and Man in Room 301 (Elisa Viihde), which was the first Finnish series acquired by the BBC.
Independent Standards Authority secures further support
The Society of London Theatre and UK Theatre have announced their support for Times Up UK and Creative UK’s bullying watchdog. The Creative Industries Independent Standards Authority (CIISA) is currently being developed to tackle bullying and harassment in creative industries including film and TV, with the PSBs and Sky previously announcing their support and financial resource.
“We are delighted to be working very closely with the theatre sector’s leading performing arts trade bodies alongside the film and TV industries and thank them for their commitment and support” said the watchdog’s interim chief executive Jen Smith.
