Sony Pictures Television International (SPTI) has licensed the Dragons' Den format to Ireland, Sweden and the Czech Republic.

In Ireland, Dragons' Den will be produced by Screentime ShinAwiL for RTE. In Sweden, the show will be produced by Silverback and will air on SVT. In the Czech Republic, it will be produced and aired by Czech Television.

The deal follows the premiere of the sixth series of Dragons' Den on the BBC on Monday, which attracted 3.4 million viewers over the hour-long show.

In addition to the new territories the show has been confirmed for a second series on NED3 in the Netherlands and for a third series on CBC in Canada. It is also making its debut on HRT in Croatia and on NBA in Nigeria.

Dragon's Den, originally a Japanese format, is now in over 20 countries around the world and in the UK is produced by BBC Entertainment Production.
