Reality property show developed with Netherlands-based Vincent TV
ITV Studios and Vincent TV have come together to create a property-focused reality format.
Try Before You Buy explores what first-time buyers can do amid ever-escalating housing market prices and places six contestants in a house that is for sale for twice the amount of money one individual can afford.
Each of the six contestants has to decide who they want to team up with to beat the others and acquire the house, posing the question: who do you dare to share your home and your mortgage with?
With the aid of real estate agents and the guidance of psychologists, the contestants will set out to make one of the biggest decisions of their lives.
“We believe the next generation needs a new way to beat the current housing crisis,” said founder of Vincent TV, Vincent ter Voert.
ITV Studios’ managing director of global creative network, Mike Beale, added that the show ”offers a truly unique and compelling look at modern living and the solutions young adults are seeking.”
Vincent TV has offices in the Netherlands and Belgium, and has delivered two Dutch seasons of Stellify format Pretty & Single. It launched a UK division in 2021, which was closed in 2023.
