Bandicoot Scotland to record special version of entertainment format

The Masked Singer Panda

ITV has ordered an I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here-themed special of The Masked Singer.

Bandicoot Scotland is behind the one-off mash-up in which participants will compete to outfox the panel of judges while dressed in jungle-inspired outfits such as a witchetty grub or a kangaroo.

The Masked Singer host Joel Dommett will take charge of the event, with responsibility for hunting down clues for judges Jonathan Ross, Rita Ora, Davina McCall and Mo Gilligan.

Argonon’s Bandicoot Scotland co-founders Derek McLean and Daniel Nettleton, who will exec produce alongside Claire Horton, said: “The celebrities may think the jungle is an endurance test but singing on national TV dressed head to toe in a giant costume is no mean feat.”

The Masked Singer special was ordered by ITV head of entertainment Katie Rawcliffe and commissioning editor Joe Mace and will air this autumn.

Rawcliffe said: “Viewers will get to enjoy all things Jungle with a wonderfully bonkers Masked Singer twist.”
