Extravagant parties, wild socialites and popular ‘it’ girls will combine in a new Four Weddings-style format for Living.

Party Wars will see four participants attend and judge each other’s themed celebrations with the added twist that one of the partygoers is a celebrity.

The socialites are given a total mark out of 30 for their hosting skills, quality of friends and ‘night to remember’ factor, putting them in the frame to win a “holiday of a lifetime”.

Star appearances, including The X Factor finalist Stacey Solomon and Lady Victoria Hervey, will feature in five episodes of the ITV Studios-produced show and if the celeb is crowned champion, the holiday will made available for viewers to win on the Living website.

The 8 x 60-minute series was commissioned following a “promising” TX pilot earlier this year, which attracted a young-skewing audience. It follows a successful run of Four Weddings - again produced by ITV Studios for Living - which delivered audiences of over half a million to the channel last year.

Living’s head of commissioning Mark Sammon ordered Party Wars and it will be executive produced by ITVS’ Michael Kelpie. Amy Walker is the series producer.

“On Party Wars, you’ll be hooked by the extraordinary, unique, imaginative and outrageous party hosts, as they attend and judge each other’s milestone parties,” Kelpie said.
