Celador Productions' decision to hire former Channel 4 head of entertainment group Danielle Lux as its new managing director appears to have paid off after the company landed its first commission from the channel in nearly 20 years.

The company, which created the format of Who Wants to be a Millionaire?, has been commissioned to make an 8 x 30-minute series for C4 looking at the effects of bad diet and obesity.

You Are What You Eat , which will be presented by expert nutritionists Dr Gillian McKeith and scientist Dr Toby Murcott, will study the lifestyles and diets of people with weight problems. It is currently in production with Claire Masters as series producer and Linda Brusasco as producer/director. Damon Pattison is the executive producer.

Commissioned by C4 head of features Sue Murphy for a June slot, the programme is the first major feature commission Celador has ever been given, having previously focused on light entertainment and comedy productions.

Lux said: "It was an idea the development team had come up with before I arrived, but I am seeing it on its way to completion."

Celador Productions has spent a lot of money trying to pilot new shows in the past few years, with little success. Apart from Millionaire and BBC1 comedy All About Me the company's most notable other show is National Lottery: Winning Lines on BBC1.

Lux said she was now focusing on looking to place a comedy series with C4 or BBC2. Celador's comedy department is overseen by former LWT comedy head Humphrey Barclay.
