Mentorn International has signed a representation deal with Daybreak Pictures as part of a new push into drama distribution.
The agreement with Daybreak, producer of Emmy-nominated dramas Endgame and The Hamburg Cell, will see Mentorn International take two new series to MipTV in Cannes next month.
These include The Promise, a four-part series written and directed by Peter Kosminsky that aired earlier this year on Channel 4.
The political thriller, which cuts between British-occupied Palestine in the 1940s and contemporary Israel, has been sold to SBS Australia, SVT Sweden, DR Denmark, RTV Slovenia and Globosat Brazil.
Mentorn will also represent Naked Apes, a dark comedy drama about an ambulance crew that explores their jaded point of view. The six-part series is being scheduled for launch on C4 this year.
David Leach, managing director of Mentorn International, said: “It is fitting to be launching our drama arm with such a major series as The Promise, which is perfect for the global market, while Naked Apes is refreshingly left-field.”
