Nearly 1 million people watched Bolton play Chelsea on Sky Sports 1 on Monday, proving that the football is the thing. Even if the ‘Keys’ are missing, there are no ‘Gray’ areas; apparently no one is indispensable.
Glee leapt some more, while if Being Human generally might be puzzling, the programme is increasingly popular. Skins is causing a storm in the US, but its return in the UK was a cheery one. Meanwhile, ITV3 enjoyed stripping and stacking Lewis.
Glee achieved 1.6 million/6% including +1 (1.4 million excl+1); still big but the least strong of the new series. BBC3’s Being Human’s 1.2 million/5% is its third highest-rated episode to date.
Skins returned to E4 with 936,000/5% including +1 (820,000 excl +1), putting that episode in the top 10 of all series so far.
The benefit for digital channels to strip and stack is writ large, with ITV3’s Lewis weekend providing three of the top 10 this week. Sunday at 9pm’s 970,000/4% was the best.
