Moshi Monsters is finally coming to TV after Mind Candy unveiled plans to produce an animated series based on the popular kids brand.

The digital company will produce 52 x 11mins Moshi Monsters episodes based on the popular characters - Diavlo, Luvli, Katsuma, Poppet, Zommer and Furi. At present, the characters can only be seen on their social networking platform.

Darran Garnham, Mind Candy’s chief business development officer, will start talks with international broadcasters at next week’s Licensing Expo in Las Vegas, as well as at Cartoon Digital and Mipcom Jr later this year.

The project will be led by former Hit Entertainment executive Jocelyn Stevenson, who joined the company as executive creative producer, film and TV.

Moshi Monsters was launched in 2008 and its website currently has 80 million registered users in 150 territories.
