Controversial Granada format Nanny 911is set to go head to head with Ricochet's Supernanny in a further three countries around Europe.

Following a series of new deals by Granada International, Endemol France has picked up the option to Nanny 911, and will compete with channel M6 which has bought the Supernanny format from Channel 4 International.

TV Denmark and TV Norge have also picked up format rights to Nanny 911, taking on Supernannymade for Denmark's TV3 and Norway's TV2.

Nanny 911was rushed out earlier this year by US network Fox after it lost out to rival ABC in the bidding war for Channel 4 hit Supernanny.

The resulting controversy followed a series of suspected copycat cases by Fox, which produced Trading Spousesafter rival network ABC announced it was making a US version of RDF Media's Wife Swapand a business reality show in response to NBC hit The Apprentice.

The second series of Supernannyis currently airing on C4, where it draws around 4.7 million viewers and a 20% share of the audience. In the UK, Nanny 911is shown on ITV2.

Other new format deals for Nanny 911have been secured by Granada International with Kanal 5 Sweden and Endemol Spain, while the US series has been sold to Poland's Television, New Zealand's TVNZ, Canada's Life Network, MBC Middle East, Iceland Broadcasting and SBS Belgium and Netherlands.
