Kids broadcaster Jetix Europe has appointed Nathan Waddington as director of pan-European acquisitions and UK programming.

Waddington has been promoted from director of scheduling and acquisitions for Jetix's UK channel. He will now oversee acquisitions and co-productions and retain his brief for Jetix's local network.

He takes over from Henrietta Hurford-Jones, who stepped down two weeks ago for personal reasons, and will report to senior vice president of programming Michael Lekes.

Waddington's appointment brings yet another change to Jetix Europe's senior management. In February, former senior vice president of programming and acquisitions Benoit Runel was made redundant as part of a drive to streamline the department.

Jetix decided not to replace Runel and split his role between Hurford-Jones and Lekes.
