Cable operator NTL merged with Virgin Mobile in early 2006 and renamed its operations Virgin Media. A major marketing campaign will begin prior to the launch, which will include TV, radio, magazines, newspapers and outdoor media. Earlier this week, satellite giant BSkyB threw down the gauntlet to Virgin Media by launching its own multi-million pound triple play campaign called See, Speak, Surf. The set of products are available at £26 per month plus a £20 connection fee on top of an £11 monthly BT line rental.
