Asset management software specialist Proximity is the first Australian firm to win a technical Emmy. The firm, which counts the BBC among its customers, was given the award in New York last week (Wednesday 2 October) in recognition of its 'software for managing graphical assets for broadcast'. Proximity was set up in Sydney five years ago and has just launched its European base, headed by former OmniBus Systems US chief executive Andy Ioannou. A total of 13 awards were made.
