Users will be able to edit across desktop and mobile versions
Adobe has launched a mobile version of its Premiere editing platform for iPhones.
Available for pre-order on the App Store now, Premiere on iPhone will be a free version of the software for use on the go. It will be available to use later this month, with users only paying for extra storage or generative AI credits.
Premiere on iPhone will include many of the same features as the desktop version, including a multi-track timeline, frame-accurate editing, automatic captions, unlimited video, audio and text layers, generative custom sound effects, enhance speech recordings, and support for 4K HDR. It will have an adapted interface to better suit iPhone screens.
Users can also start their edit on mobile and complete it on a desktop with Premiere Pro, and all exported content and that within the app will be without watermarks.
Adobe Firefly’s generative video and image generators are also built in, and content can be sent instantly to TikTok, YouTube Shorts, or Instagram, with Premiere resizing the content for each.
Adobe also revealed that Premiere for Android is currently in development.
