The company has opened an office in Sauchiehall Street with eight offline suites, with plans to add finishing services later this year

Post-production house Bsquared has expanded its operations in Glasgow city centre by opening a facility on Sauchiehall Street, which houses eight offline suites.
The company plans to expand the office with an additional floor later in 2026, which will become home to Bsquared’s finishing services, including grading suites and online rooms.
Bsquared says its suites are “large, comfortable and designed for viewings” and are “more similar to grade rooms” than typical offline editing rooms.
The rooms offer a choice of editing software depending on what the client wants – the company says it’s “keen to push Resolve editing and will be working towards that”.
Glasgow’s post industry is largely located close to BBC Pacific Quay in the south of the city. It’s been a deliberate move by Bsquared to set up its facility in the heart of the city centre rather than alongside existing facilities.
Bsquared founder, colourist and online editor, Jon Bruce, told Broadcast Tech: “We wanted to offer something different and stay in the city, offering a livelier location close to local restaurants, shops and transport links. It means our clients can take a step away from the facility and have places to go.”

The facility took three months to put together and opened on New Year’s Day. Bsquared spent around £100K on the new build, with a Scottish Enterprise government support grant helping towards the cost of the equipment.
The company opened in 2024, having been founded by colourists Colin Brown and Jon Bruce, alongside post-producer Sean Ewins. Since then, it has grown to a team of six, with the aim to continue adding staff as the expansion takes shape.
Operations manager/post supervisor Courtney Welsh spearheaded the build, and other new recruits include Danny Sharp as offline assistant and Joe Martyn as online assistant.
Bruce said: “We have several scripted projects in for next year. We also do a lot of non-scripted work. Our suites are designed with scripted in mind, knowing that larger rooms are desirable in that world. We’re also focusing on remote offline workflow. For those edits that are happy working from home our cloud-based workflow keeps that flexible. Our belief is that solid workflow and media management is key to the future of the post facility. It’s a priority for clients. They want to know that the media is handled correctly and distributed between the edit and production where required. Post is changing. Demands are immediate and we have to be able to be precise and fast.”
