Creative Remote 41 facility - artist's impression

An artist’s impression of what 41 will look like when completed

Creative Remote will open an offline facility in Farringdon, London, later this summer.

Named 41 and located at 41-47 Old Street, the facility will house 35 editing suites and almost 8,000 sq ft of space. The space also includes breakout spaces, a rooftop terrace, meeting facilities and screening rooms.

In addition to expanding Creative Remote’s “remote first” offline model, the facility will be used by its location-focused sister company The Collectv to offer productions more solutions as they progress from location, to offline, to their choice of finishing.

Creative Remote is open to unscripted, drama and feature filmmaking teams, and has previously provided infrastructure for Netflix’s Drive to Survive and Simon Cowell: The Next Act.

Chris Sarson, co-founder of Creative Remote, said: “Over the last four years, we have listened closely to what our clients need, and while remote editing remains central to our business, there is always a need for in-person collaboration. The opening of 41 is a response to that demand, giving productions access to purpose-built offline editing facilities while retaining all the flexibility of Creative Remote’s established remote model.”

Sarson continued, “At a time when London has seen a reduction in offline capacity, we are investing in the future and creating a neutral home for offline editing. We are not competing with finishing post houses, but giving productions more choice, more flexibility and the freedom to work with the final post provider of their choice.”
