Jones formerly co-owned Roundtable Post

Dirty Looks Jack Jones

Dirty Looks has added Jack Jones as its head of imaging and technical solutions.

For the past 15 years, Jones had been a co-owner, technical director and colourist at Roundtable Post. During his time there, he worked on the like of music promos for Adele and Netflix’s feature documentary 14 Peaks: Nothing is Impossible.

In his new role at Dirty Looks, Jones will lead on colour science, custom tools (both for in-house teams and clients), the automation of workflows and deep integration of IT systems. He will also aim to broaden the company’s power management systems and help it transition to a full-heat recapture system. This project, which Dirty Looks has been exploring with sustainable tech company Deep Green, has already seen the post house move some of its data centre to heat a public swimming pool in Exmouth

Dirty Looks has recently moved to a new location at Maple Place in Fitzrovia.

Jones said: “I’m thrilled to join Dirty Looks as we begin this new chapter at Maple Place. My background in both the technical and creative sides of post-production mean I can help shape a more adaptive and agile system, and I’m absolutely passionate about following our mission to become the most sustainable post production company out there.”

Tom Balkwill, managing director of Dirty Looks, added: “Dirty Looks’ greatest strength is our team and to grow, we need to onboard the right people at the right time, and Jack is a top-notch addition to the team. Jack is deeply rooted in independent film, just like Dirty Looks, and I am thrilled he is joining us to help lead the next phase of our strategic development.”
