Facility becomes part of Dream Machine FX Group

VFX house Enbarr has launched with a Dublin facility.
Enbarr becomes part of the Dream Machine FX Group, joining partner studios such as ILP (Sweden), FIN (Australia), Metropolis (Spain), Zero (Boston/Montreal), ARC Creative (LA/NY) and Mavericks (Toronto).
Nicholas Murphy and Ed Bruce will lead Enbarr, founding the facility after over 15 years with Irish studio SSVFX. It will work across the full spectrum of VFX, from complex CG environments and FX systems to aging and de-aging workflows, and is working with with Screen Ireland, the Irish government, and leading academic institutions, to promote the next generation of digital artists.

Bruce’s recent portfolio includes Paul Thomas Anderson’s Oscar winning One Battle After Another, Paramount’s Gladiator II, and Emmy & VES-winning work on HBO’s The Penguin and FX’s Shōgun. He has also worked on titles such as Stranger Things, Game of Thrones, WandaVison, and The Irishman. Murphy has worked on many of the same titles, as well as the likes of Star Wars : Ahsoka & The Mandalorian and The Favourite.
“At the end of the day, we’re here to help filmmakers tell their stories,” said Bruce. “For us, it’s about the art and partnerships. We wanted to create a space where we can work alongside directors and visionaries who care about the craft as much as we do. It’s a really positive time to be in Dublin, building a team of like-minded, creative people and looking forward to what we can create together.”
“Launching Enbarr is a proud moment for us and a great step forward for the Irish VFX sector,” added Murphy. “Being part of the Dream Machine FX Group gives us an incredible foundation of technology and expertise to build a bright, sustainable future for the industry in Ireland. It’s an exciting new chapter.”
