A collective of VFX artists specialising in high-end digital characters, called The TWIN Group, has launched.

The company has been co-founded by Christopher Jaques and Theo Facey and delivers creative, technology and advisory support across film and episodic content, games and virtual platforms.

Jaques and Facey were previously head of creative operations UK and Europe and global head of creature at DNEG respectively.

Jaques will be chief executive officer at TWIN, while Facey is chief technology officer.

Joining them is a team of UK and Europe-based visual artists, engineers and creative leaders with “decades of experience shaping some of the most iconic digital characters in the industry,” says TWIN.

TWIN’s services are:

● TWIN Creative: Specialising in the creation of high-quality, production-ready, bespoke digital characters.

● TWIN Technology: Focused on licensing a flexible, off-the-shelf digital character pipeline and technology.

● TWIN Consulting: Providing creative and technical consultancy for digital character development.

Jaques and Facey said: “We are proud to announce the launch of TWIN at a pivotal moment - when the boundary between real and virtual identities is rapidly dissolving and the two are becoming inseparable. Guided by a deep commitment to craftsmanship, cutting-edge technology and creative integrity, and backed by a team with unmatched industry experience, TWIN is uniquely positioned to shape the future of digital character creation.”

The company is working on a number of projects with the first delivery expected before the end of the year.
