Great Marlborough Street post-production facility shuts down after investment deal collapses

Post-production house Farm Soho entered into administration today, and has closed its doors to staff and clients.
Broadcast understands the company shut down last week, ahead of entering administration. All staff have lost their jobs at the facility.
Until last week, Farm Soho, which is based in Great Marlborough Street, London, was looking for investment to secure its future after splitting from previously sister post-production house The Farm on Newman Street.
The Farm also entered into administration - on 28 September - but a spokesperson for the company said this was “a necessary process in order to separate the two entities”. The Farm recently announced it has received investment from Rex Brown Capital and continues to operate.
Farm Soho was reportedly close to securing its own investment, but in the last few weeks, the deal fell through.
Broadcast has contacted Farm Soho for comment.
Farm Soho formed last year after Granary Media’s Simon Kanjee and David Barrett took over operations of Picture Shop’s Lexington Street facilities and merged them with what was previously Grand Central at 51-53 Great Marlborough Street, rebranding the operation Farm Soho.
Earlier this year, Farm Soho underwent a facility-wide transformation of its Great Marlborough Street office, reconfiguring, reequipping and refurbishing the entire building.
The company specialised in drama work, with recent credits including Under Salt Marsh (Sky) and Young Sherlock (Prime Video).
