Senior re-recordig mixer join the company from Halo

Splice has appointed Sam Castleton as senior re-recording mixer.
Castleton joins the post house after over 17 years with Halo, after starting his career with Clear Cut. Halo was acquired by Envy last year, before going on to enter administration last month.
While with Halo, Castleton worked on the likes of Welcome To Earth, We Are Lady Parts and Our Universe.
Castleton said: “I am delighted to be joining Splice and the incredible audio team here. Amongst the turbulence in our industry, Splice has stood out from the crowd and is thriving. The management team have overseen the company’s remarkable yet sensible growth and have been rewarded recently, being voted as the best TV/Film Post House. The culture of the company and scale of the projects mean I will slot right in. I can’t wait to meet all my new colleagues and start enriching client’s films.”
Splice managing director Richard Folley, commented: “Sam exemplifies our ambition, to deliver the most outstanding post-production possible. He is extraordinarily talented, creatively and technically, and his dedication to delivering sound work of the highest calibre is unparalleled. He is also likeminded in our culture here at Splice; To work openly and transparently as a team, seeking solutions and thinking creatively with the common goal in mind, to create and deliver amazing content for our clients and viewers.
“Sam joins an already outstanding audio team at Splice and his addition only continues to strengthen us, ensuring we are offering our clients world class post-production.
“I’ve known Sam for a while now and have admired him enormously from afar, I’m now lucky enough to call him a colleague.”
