Swedish club FC Rosengård is using AI automated production tool Spiideo Play to stream training matches and diversify its revenue streams.

Spiideo Play makes it possible for clubs to capture games without a camera crew.

Once the camera is set up, the software uses AI game tracker technology to automatically spot and follow the action.

The software enables games to be streamed with very low production costs, and then charge for the games on a pay-per-view basis.

Clubs can set their own prices and select which sponsors they want to promote during games to increase revenue.

The AI Game Tracker technology is pre-installed, and the system is ready to use without the need to train the cameras.

Live streams of matches are set up through the Spiideo Play platform, and graphics, sponsors, and commentary is added to the stream through Spiideo’s CloudStudio.

Therese Sjögran, sporting director of FC Rosengård, said: “By streaming our training matches we are able to maintain and increase engagement with our fans at a time when they might otherwise feel disconnected from us. It also provides an alternative source of revenue, which is essential when looking for ways to develop as a club during this period of economic uncertainty.

“As well as streaming, we use Spiideo’s cameras to record and analyse our training sessions to enable us to best prepare for upcoming matches.”
