Interior Design Masters teamed up with Children In Need and a bunch of celebrities for the first time to reach half of the slot average of 2.2m (16.4%). Produced by DSP and fronted by series regular Alan Carr, the special was also no match for the fifth series opener which entertained 1.8m (12.9%) at 8pm on a Tuesday in March.  

In a tough slot, the show was up against Channel 4 slot-winner The Great British Bake Off which continued with a steady 3.9m (28.5%) and ITV1’s The Martin Lewis Money Show: Live which held on to 2.2m (16.3%) – just shy of the slot benchmark of 2.3m (17.4%).  

C5’s The Yorkshire Vet picked up from 838,000 (6%) to 951,000 (7%), just ahead of BBC2’s Highland Cops which also picked up from 720,000 (5.2%) to 827,000 (6.1%),

On Channel 4, the second ep of Perpetual Entertainment’s travelogue Sue Perkins’ Big Adventure: From Paris to Istanbul picked up a handful of viewers to rise from 819,000 (6.2%) to 839,000 (7.3%), falling short of the 1.4m (10.7%) slot average but beating Channel 5’s Ben Fogle: New Lives in the Wild. The latter also performed better than the previous week’s 740,000 (5.4%) to reach 824,000 (6.6%).  

The slot was dominated by BBC1’s Masterchef: The Professionals which continued with 1.9m (15.6%), ahead of ITV1’s Unbelievable Moments Caught On Camera with 1.1m (9.3%) and BBC2’s QI XL with 708,000 (5.6%).  

On E4, Married At First Sight UK’s final episode before two reunion dinner shows reached 913,000 (7.9%) to beat Big Brother which brought 708,000 (5.7%) to ITV2, according to Barb data from overnights.tv.
